Using eScripts with BnTRx

You can use eScripts with BnTRx when placing orders for your replacement vials of botulinum toxin.

To do this, you will need you practice software to be set up to issue eScripts for your patients.  Consult your practice software documentation on how to do this.

When you are ready to order with an eScript, first generate the eScript in your practice software.  Most practice software requires you to send the eScript somewhere as part of generating the eScript.  If this is required, we recommend selecting an option to send to the patient, but use your pharmacy's email in place of the patient email, as ordinarily patients would not receive a prescription for botulinum toxin already administered in their clinic.

What is an eScript?

In Australia, an eScript token is a string of capital letters and numbers that is exactly 18 digits long and looks something like this:

A1B2C3D4E5F6G7H8I9
or
https://ausscripts.erx.com.au/scripts/A1B2C3D4E5F6G7H8I9

When creating an eScript in your practice software, make sure you can access this 18 digit code, as you will need to copy it into the Edit Order dialogue in BnTRx, so your pharmacy can match the eScript to the patient's copayment details.  The token is sometimes called a barcode.

Placing an order in BnTRx with an eScript

To use an eScript with a BnTRx Order, open the eScript in your Practice Software and look for the 18-digit token.  Select and copy it from your Practice Software.  To copy text, you can either right-click and select Copy, or use a keyboard shortcut like Ctrl+C on PC or Command+C on Mac.

Next, return to the BnTRx Edit Order screen and Paste the 18-digit token into the eScript Token field.  To paste the token, you may use the Paste button (double clipboard) next to the eScript Token field, or right-click and select Paste, or use a keyboard shortcut like Ctrl+V on PC or Command+V on Mac.

To confirm the eScript token is working, you can click on the preview button (up and right arrow) to open a new web browser tab and see the eScript details and a QR code.
